How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your ResumeHero account and associated data, please follow these steps:

1. Send an email to support@macaroni-studios.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request - ResumeHero”
2. Include your account information such as the email address associated with your ResumeHero account
3. Provide verification by including any additional details that can help us verify your identity (account creation date, last login, etc.)
4. Confirm your request by stating explicitly that you want to delete your account and all associated data

Our team will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data associated with your ResumeHero account will be permanently removed:

• Account Information: Your email address, user profile, and account settings
• Resume Data: All resumes, templates, and content you have created or saved in the app
• Usage Data: Your app usage history, preferences, and interaction data
• Personal Information: Any personal details you have provided in your resumes or profile
• Payment Information: Transaction history and subscription details (payment processor may retain some data per their policies)

Data Retention Period

Most of your data will be deleted immediately upon processing your request. However, some information may be retained for the following periods:

• Legal Compliance: We may retain certain data for up to 7 years if required by law for tax, accounting, or legal purposes
• Security Logs: Anonymized security and access logs may be retained for up to 1 year for security monitoring purposes
• Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely but cannot be linked back to your account
• Backup Systems: Data in backup systems will be purged during the next scheduled backup cycle (within 90 days)

Before deleting your account, you may want to consider these alternatives:

• Export Your Data: Download your resumes and personal data before deletion
• Pause Your Subscription: Cancel any active subscriptions without deleting your account
• Update Privacy Settings: Modify your data sharing and marketing preferences instead of full deletion
